A little less often seen — a nice find. You had about a 1-in-4 chance of drawing American Curl as The Adaptive Soul — one of 5 cats you could have become.

You find your footing in unexpected places. Other people would call your hobbies, jobs, and friend groups eclectic. You'd call them honest. You don't fit one mold, and trying to over the years just made you tired. Now you do what works for you, and you're more interesting for it.

Why a American Curl?

A medium-sized cat with one of the most unusual ears in the cat world. The ears curl backward at the tips, giving the cat a slightly elvish, perpetually curious expression. Curls are affectionate, playful, and adaptable, and they tend to stay kittenish well into their teens.

Did you know

All American Curls descend from a single stray black female cat named Shulamith, who turned up at a California family's doorstep in 1981 with her unusual curled ears. The trait was traced to a natural genetic mutation and the breed was developed from her kittens.
