A small wild cat found across the deserts and grasslands from Iran to Mongolia. Asiatic Wildcats are vocal among themselves and quick to mark territory through scent and sound. They look surprisingly like a slightly larger domestic tabby.
Did you know
The Asiatic Wildcat is one of the closest living relatives of all domestic cats. DNA studies suggest most modern house cats descend from this lineage, domesticated some 10,000 years ago in the Fertile Crescent.
