A little less often seen — a nice find. You had about a 1-in-4 chance of drawing Korat as The Dreamer — one of 5 cats you could have become.

You spend a lot of your day in places no one else can see. You write things in your head that don't quite make it to paper. You notice the way light hits a building, the unsaid thing in a conversation, the song playing under everything else. The people who love you have learned not to interrupt the staring-out-the-window phases. That's where your best work happens.

Why a Korat?

An ancient Thai breed with a silvery-blue coat that's said to shimmer like dew on a leaf in the morning sun. Korats are intelligent, gentle, and observant, traditionally given in pairs at Thai weddings as a symbol of good fortune. They form deep bonds with their humans and prefer quiet, stable households.

The Korat is one of the oldest known cat breeds, documented in the Tamra Maew (Cat Book Poems) of Thailand. The text, hundreds of years old, describes the Korat's coat as "cloud above, silver below" and considers the breed exceptionally lucky.
