A familiar favorite — the cat you're most likely to find. You had about a 1-in-4 chance of drawing Devon Rex as The Joyful Optimist — one of 5 cats you could have become.

You're not naive. You decided a while back that you'd rather find the bright thread in a thing than the dark one. People are surprised by how much of life genuinely makes you happy. Small dogs, weird clouds, songs that hit right, friends who answer the phone. Your good mood is the kind that catches, and it doesn't take a lot to maintain.

Why a Devon Rex?

A curly-coated breed often called "the pixie cat" or "the alien cat" because of its distinctive elfin face. Huge ears, wide-set eyes, and an upturned nose. Devon Rex cats are playful, social, and famously affectionate, often perching on shoulders or curling around necks like living scarves.

Did you know

Although Devon Rex and Cornish Rex cats look superficially similar, they descend from different genetic mutations and the two breeds cannot be crossed without losing the curly coat. They were both discovered in southwest England within ten years of each other.
