A little less often seen — a nice find. You had about a 1-in-4 chance of drawing Egyptian Mau as The Loyal Guardian — one of 5 cats you could have become.

You will go to war for the people you love and you do not need them to ask. You watch carefully, you judge intent carefully, and you remember who was kind to your people and who wasn't. People sometimes mistake your reserve for coldness. It isn't. You're sizing them up, and you make up your mind once.

Why a Egyptian Mau?

One of the few naturally spotted domestic cat breeds. Egyptian Maus have striking marked coats, large green eyes, and athletic builds. They're alert, fast, and famously protective. They form strong bonds with their immediate family and tend to be wary of strangers.

Did you know

Egyptian Maus are one of the oldest known domestic breeds. Their spotted markings appear in ancient Egyptian art going back at least 3,000 years, and the modern breed was developed in the 1950s from cats brought out of Egypt by a Russian princess.
