Geoffroy's Cat
Wild species · No. 78 / 89
An uncommon draw — only a handful of these in the album. You had about a 1-in-5 chance of drawing Geoffroy's Cat as The Night Owl — one of 4 cats you could have become.
The world makes more sense to you after dark. You do your best thinking past 11 p.m. Your friends know not to text you before noon unless something is on fire. You like quiet streets, lamplight, the way music sounds louder in headphones at night. Mornings happen to you. Evenings are yours.
Why a Geoffroy's Cat?
A small wild cat native to the southern half of South America. Geoffroy's Cats are nocturnal, solitary, and beautifully spotted. They're strong climbers, capable swimmers, and one of the few wild cats sometimes observed standing on their hind legs to survey their surroundings. Their large eyes are perfectly adapted for low-light hunting.

Geoffroy's Cats were named after Étienne Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire, a 19th-century French naturalist who first described the species. Black (melanistic) variants are relatively common, making the species useful to scientists studying coat color genetics in wild felids.
