A little less often seen — a nice find. You had about a 1-in-4 chance of drawing Selkirk Rex as The Old Soul — one of 5 cats you could have become.

You've been quiet at parties since you were ten. Friends bring you their hardest questions because you don't rush to answer them and you don't pretend to know things you don't. You like long conversations, slow mornings, and the kind of books that take a year to finish. You're rarely in a hurry. People who spend time around you tend to slow down too.

Why a Selkirk Rex?

A curly-coated breed sometimes called "the cat in sheep's clothing." Selkirk Rex cats are calm, patient, and intelligent, and they tend to mature slowly. They keep kittenish curiosity well into adulthood but combine it with an unusually thoughtful demeanor.

Did you know

All Selkirk Rex cats descend from a single curly-coated kitten named Miss DePesto, found in a Montana animal shelter in 1987. The breeder named the breed after her stepfather, whose family name was Selkirk.
