Why a Cheetah?
The fastest land animal alive. Cheetahs can hit 70 miles per hour in just a few seconds, faster than most cars accelerate. Unlike other big cats, they don't roar. They chirp, like an enormous bird, and they purr like the world's loudest house cat.
Did you know
Cheetahs have non-retractable claws (more like a dog's than a cat's) which gives them traction for high-speed chases. They also have black "tear marks" running from their eyes that reduce sun glare, much like an athlete's eye black.
