An uncommon draw — only a handful of these in the album. You had about a 1-in-7 chance of drawing Sand Cat as The Sun Worshipper — one of 5 cats you could have become.

You find the warmest patch in any room within thirty seconds of arriving. Good food, good naps, sun through a window in winter, the right blanket on the right couch. These are not small things to you. People who don't slow down probably miss most of what's worth being alive for, and you decided a while ago not to be one of them.

Why a Sand Cat?

A small wild cat that lives in some of the hottest deserts on earth. Sand Cats are found across the Sahara, the Arabian Peninsula, and central Asia, and they're adapted for extreme heat. Thick fur on their paws insulates against burning sand, and they can go for weeks without drinking water by getting all their moisture from prey.

Did you know

Sand Cats are one of the few cat species capable of surviving temperatures over 120°F. They're most active at night and spend hot days resting in burrows they dig themselves, sometimes several feet underground.
